The Green Machine this summer hosted two fundraisers ahead of the 2011 season: In June, team members hosted a garage sale at the home of a member. The sale attracted kids and adults to browse the books, toys, and household goods, as well as to check out our 2010 robot, Zazu. Our second fundraiser in July was the annual Team 1816 Car Wash, hosted by the Firestone store on 66th Street by Southdale Mall. A wink of the Gear Eyes to all team members, team alumni Alistair M. and Greg B., parent volunteers, and the prospective team members who washed, dried and waved signs to bring in customers. Thank to everyone in our community for supporting our FIRST robotics team!
