During build season and the crazed rush of competitions, it’s all too easy to start looking for shortcuts to save time. Safety is something that can’t be cut short. On Thursday, December 16, our team held its annual FIRST safety seminar, covering important topics such as proper lifting technique, working with batteries, and staying safe at competitions. After the seminar, every member was given a fifteen-question quiz on the information that had been presented, and all of our members passed. We are now ready to start (safely) building Zeebo, our 2010-2011 season robot.
