Techies from all around the Twin Cities gathered on the third floor of the Edina Community Center Saturday, February 26, to present fun activities for people of all ages. The day devoted to hands-on science fun was sponsored by The Works, which plants seeds of engineering, math, and science and the minds of little ones by hosting year-round activities. With hundreds of attendees, Zeus, our robot from the 2009 Lunacy game, put on a show. Every time the large robot moved, it would excite all those standing nearby, especially awestruck kindergarteners. Click here to see photos.
This day is always an enjoyable opportunity for Team 1816 to meet and greet our community but also, a chance for us to talk to future Edina Robotics members about the classes and programs they can join and enroll in as they are in middle school and high school. This year’s Tech Fest was another successful staging of math, science, engineering and technology.
