With the Lake Superior and Northern Lights Regionals only days away, it is time to get ready and packed up for Duluth. Among the exciting features at this first-ever double-event at the DECC is a media campaign by two Minnesota Teams! Teams 2220 Blue Twilight and 2512 Duluth Daredevils are partnering up as the “BlueDevil Media.” They are promoting these FIRST Robotics events through a series of news articles and an event “newspaper.” These teams graciously asked Team 1816 to provide an update about our peer-to-peer movement, be FIRST. We shared with them the ideals of the “be FIRST” movement: To be gracious, to be innovative, and to be and act your very best at all times.
The Green Machine and our partner 2500-HERObotics will be visiting each team in their respective pits on Thursday to talk about how your team is being FIRST. On Friday, one team from each Regional will be presented with the first-ever traveling “be FIRST” trophy. This trophy will is “in recognition of an outstanding team that consistently exemplifies and actively promotes the core values of FIRST. The winners of the “be FIRST” trophy will have the honor of passing along this trophy next year at a competition.
