In 2015, TEDx hosted a conference in Edina, bringing together ministers, scientists, professors, authors and global change-makers for a day of interesting discussion. TEDx returns January 21, bringing another opportunity for the community to engage with speakers, influential persons, and The Green Machine, all of which represent culture-change in specific ways.
Members of The Green Machine will emcee the event and will speak briefly at various times throughout the day. This year’s theme is “From the edge of the universe to the edge of your seat.” The Team hopes that the TEDx conference will influence members of the community in Edina to seek out hands-on STEM programs in our schools and encourage others to get involved with STEM-related programs. In addition to having student emcees at TEDx, Team 1816 will host a robot demonstration during the lunch break between the sessions. For a brief overview of the event, full list of speakers, and more about the day’s talks, visit the TEDx Edina website.
