Growth: Team Doubles in Size; Recruits and Mentors 7 New Minnesota Teams, Newton Division Finalist at World Championships.

In 2007, the team more than doubled in size to 35 students. The Green Machine recruited and mentored seven new Minnesota teams, and helped host the first-ever Minnesota Kickoff at the University of Minnesota, which included Friday night seminars ahead of the Kickoff event. The Green Machine was selected to beta-test robots using hydrogen fuel cells. This earned the team a spot at Championships, where the team won second-place for game design in the FIRST Fuel Cell competition. The team’s alliance also finished as Newton Division Finalists at Championships.
