Team 1816 – “The Green Machine” is hosting the first annual Minnesota Advocacy Conference on September 24, 2016. Topics and goals/outcomes of the event include:
- Become a strong STEM advocate
- Learn the basics of advocacy
- Hear from legislators about their perspectives on advocacy
- Doug Paulson – K-12 STEM Specialist, MN Dept of Education
- Melisa Franzen – MN State Senator for the 49th District
- Practice talking points in small, breakout sessions
- Learn new ways to approach your local elected representatives
