Team 1816 – “The Green Machine” is hosting the first annual Minnesota Advocacy Conference on September 24, 2016. Topics and goals/outcomes of the event include:

  • Become a strong STEM advocate
  • Learn the basics of advocacy
  • Hear from legislators about their perspectives on advocacy
    • Doug Paulson – K-12 STEM Specialist, MN Dept of Education
    • Melisa Franzen – MN State Senator for the 49th District
  • Practice talking points in small, breakout sessions
  • Learn new ways to approach your local elected representatives
