Do you want to be that cool kid who builds robots? Then stop on our table at the EHS Activities Fair on Wednesday, September 12 and come hear more on Monday, Sept. 17th, 6:30 pm in the Community Room at Edina High School! We will go over the basics of being on a FIRSTRobotics team and introduce you to our team’s student leadership and adult mentors. Anyone with any interest in robotics, engineering, business, computer programming is welcome!

Our team’s events calendar is filling up. On September 21, The Green Machine and its robot trailer will be one of the “floats” in the Edina Homecoming Parade. We’ll immediately pack up that trailer after the parade and head to the Minnesota Children’s Museum, St. Paul, for a huge engineering event. We will be one of the FIRST teams taking part in the museum’s Curious George™: Let’s Get Curious! program. This event is all about inspiration. What can be better to spark a young child’s imagination and creativity than having a chance to play with robots – one of the foundations of a STEM education! This is a very hands-on program. Families and kids that like to mess with stuff would love this opportunity. There will be exhibits and demonstrations not only from Team 1816 but one of our sponsors, Stratasys, will be there with their 3D printing capabilities. Come join us and let’s all be curious together!
